Lex and her husband Taylor from RoosterHead Homestead, moved from the beaches of California to the mountains of Montana and completely changed their lifestyle. As first generation homesteaders, they are regenerating 20 acres of land using permaculture techniques, growing 50% of their annual produce, raising and processing their own meat birds, and now teaching others to do the same through their online classes. Lex passionately homeschools her two children and leads a local children’s outdoor group to teach our youth new skills and autonomy in nature. Taylor works outside the homestead and also makes custom handmade knives as a hobby. A strong family unit, traditional Catholic living, and Jesus Christ are at the center of their lives.
Our Farm:
We grow our produce without the use of any synthetic pesticides, chemicals or fertilizers. We use no-till and restorative agriculture methods which is better than organic.
Improving soil health and providing local, chemical and spray free produce to our immediate community is our priority.
